VMod hydrological model
The VMod model is a distributed hydrological model, that is used to model a single river basin. The model takes meteorological data as input, an as a results computes river discharges for the whole catchment. The model is based on rectangular grid, where each grid cell has its own surface and soil water balance computation. The model contains an integrated a 1D-river network model that also includes lake and reservoir computation. Recent applications include computation of Mekong river basin discharges for future climates and reservoir development scenarios, as well as several applications for smaller watersheds in South-East Asia.
